A fantastic start!

Well, February 1, 2008, is here and we’re ready to roll at USA Tour Pros. I thank all of you already along for the ride as paying Members and encourage all of our Registered guests yet to pay to consider signing up today. I am very encouraged by the enthusiastic response from all of you, and I’m taking your suggestions about what you would like to see and discussing each idea accordingly. Our meeting a couple of days ago with Web designer Tommy Nguyen produced fantastic news:

  • The implementation of this new blog capability, which was suggested during Symposium in San Diego and is already incorporated!
  • The formation of a new Members section, which links to copy about all the features you can utilize as a Member, or, for logged-in members, displays our new Member Profiles Directory
  • The creation our new Member Profiles, a “mini Web page” where your personal information and biography, as well as your printed and video resume—and even your availability calendar—will reside!
  • Confirmations from three major Tour Operators that they are interested to be interviewed for future podcasts

As we move forward we will be fine-tuning many aspects of this now-colossal Web site. Our first order of business is to get our Resources link fully functional and filled with the thousands of pieces of information collected by our Members, as well Senior Contributing Editor Mariann Millard and Contributing Editor Sheryl Emmett.

Also, I’m editing my sit-down interview with Tour Professional trainer Cherie Anderson, which we taped in Laguna Beach, California, during Symposium. We can’t wait to have you take a look and listen.

So much going on as we all prepare to hit the road for the always-hectic Student Tour season!
